Low Fat Black Eyed Peas Recipe


Ingredients
* 16 oz. dried black eyed peas
* 2 tsp. salt
* 1/2 tsp. black pepper
* 1 pkg. sweetener (Splenda, Sweet'N Low or SugarTwin)
* 3 beef bouillon cubes
* 1 tsp white vinegar
* 1 tsp. canola oil

Directions
1. Place peas into a large pot and cover with 4 inches of water.
2. Add remaining ingredients except sweetener, cover pot and cook peas on medium low heat until tender (45 minutes to an hour).
3. Add sweetener the last 5 minutes of cooking time. Taste and add salt/pepper if needed.
Served with Southern Cornbread.
